Cosmetology Scholarships

cosmetology scholarshipsThe cost of attending top cosmetology schools can be overwhelming, especially when trying to come to terms with how you can afford to pay back all of your cosmetology loans. There are quite a few financial assistance options with federal and private loans, cosmetology grants and cosmetology scholarships to aid the ease of your cosmetology tuition. Below you will find a listing of cosmetology grants and cosmetology scholarships to help you with your cosmetology tuition. To be eligible for any of the federal options, the student will need to fill out a FAFSA, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is most beneficial to fill out a FAFSA before beginning the school year to get the maximum use of financial aid. Each state and schools have their own FAFSA deadlines. Be sure to check with your cosmetology school as soon as possible to first find out if they offer federal aid and second to learn out when the deadline occurs. It your cosmetology school offers Title IV funding, also known as government funding, a FAFSA should be filled out once a year (each year you are in school) to apply for aid for the upcoming school year. Check with your top cosmetology schools and ask if they offer Title IV funding.

Cosmetology scholarship deadlines are more flexible. They offer varying deadlines that can run quarterly, twice a year or once a year. If you find a cosmetology scholarship you are interested in but have missed the deadline, be sure to save it so you can apply next year! Also many cosmetology scholarships are for students you have already been in school for a certain amount of months and have achieved a certain G.P.A. level. Be sure to write down the names of these scholarships to apply for when you become further into your cosmetology program.

Cosmetology scholarships and federal aid can make a huge difference in allowing your cosmetology tuition to be more affordable. We have listed below the most popular federal grants and loans and cosmetology scholarships. Good luck!
